Celebrity Human Race has raised more than $3.8 million for the Health Sciences Centre Foundation over 5 years

This past September marked the fifth and Grand Finale Celebrity Human Race, presented by Canad Inns. Thanks to the incredible support from our community, the event was a huge success and raised more than $850,000 this year to support the researchers, staff and medical teams at HSC Winnipeg.

"Over five years, people in this community raised an incredible $3.8 million through this event,” said Dan Chisick, who co-chaired the event all five years, this year with Ryan Downey. "It can’t be understated how much of a difference all the teams, sponsors, and volunteers have made towards improving health care in our province.”

"Thank you to all of the teams, and everyone involved for making this weekend such a huge success,” said Tina Jones, Chair of the Board of Directors for the HSC Foundation. "Everyone who has supported Celebrity Human Race since it started has helped to ensure HSC can deliver tomorrow’s care today, for families across Manitoba. Thank you, all of you!”

On behalf of the HSC Foundation, thank you to all of the participants, sponsors, donors and volunteers who have put countless hours and effort into this incredible event. The ongoing success of the event has been a testament to Winnipeg’s community spirit, and we can’t wait to see what event is going to follow the Celebrity Human Race.

Thank you!
