Karon Sackney was one of Health Sciences Centre's first patients to be treated with the new donor-funded Varian Edge radiosurgery system. She had 3% functionality in her spine, had a tumour corkscrewing around it, and was at-risk of becoming paralyzed. But today, she's walking and her tumour has stopped growing.
