On October 31, 2010, Polo Park Shopping Centre wrapped up its fundraising partnership with HSC Foundation. Through donations made at their Guest Services Centre, sales of Polo Park keychains and the proceeds from the Holiday Coat Check, Polo Park donated $102,057.03 towards the Women’s Health Program.

“This just shows the generosity of our customers, they really got behind this fundraising initiative,” said Deborah Green, General Manager, Polo Park Shopping Centre. “These funds have been used to enhance hospital experience for women, families and newborns through the purchase of specialized equipment and the refurbishment of the Parent Room in the Intermediate Care Nursery.”

When deciding where to target this fundraising initiative, Polo Park was looking for an organization that contributed back to the community and that their customers could relate to. HSC Foundation was the perfect fit.

“Many of our customers are women and they have a direct connection to Women’s Hospital because they were either born there or had their children there,” said Deborah. “We wanted our fundraising to target women of all ages.”
